Any of your citrus fruits are great natural air fresheners. I’ve simply simmered them in a small crockpot. Also, many of the essential oils used with a diffuser are great. As far as candles go, the best ones I’ve used are the soy candles. Just be sure to clip the wicks before burning. Hope this helped.

Your system doesn’t have to work as hard to reach a certain temp. There are other factors mentioned above like any major renovations and insect/rodent problems.

Comment on Air Duct Cleaning 101: How Does It Get Done? by Amanda https://www.mrbairduct.com/Blog/2016/05/11/air-duct-cleaning-101-how-does-it-get-done/#comment-10707 Tue, 24 May 2016 11:31:38 +0000 http://www.mrbairduct.com/Blog/?p=782#comment-10707 I’ve never found any studies that say that duct cleaning has been shown to save energy or improve health or provide any benefit. Cleaning and servicing the blower fan will save energy, cleaning the ducts as an energy measure won’t. If it was such a great measure there would be utility rebates for it, and there aren’t.
A study by the EPA a number of years ago found that duct cleaning decreased air quality drastically in homes after they were cleaned because all the materials that had adhered to the ducts were being blown around the house after they were cleaned. If you think about it, particles stuck inside your ducts are not being blown around your house, cleaning them loosens up all that stuff, that can now be blown around your house if it isn’t all removed by HEPA vacuuming. Your ducts may be functioning better as a air filter than your air filter is or there wouldn’t be anything stuck to them in the first place.

Depends on your definition of polluted. If the essential oils are organic and are for health purposes and don’t cause any irritation I believe you are fine. Be sure to keep your humidity levels at a safe range as well. Too much or too little humidity can also cause issues.
