Indoor Air Quality – Does Clutter Matter?
I’m very often thinking of things that might affect the quality of the air my family is breathing indoors. And, this time of year I’m also thinking about spring cleaning. Which brings me to thoughts about how cluttered my home can get. Does that affect the indoor breathing atmosphere? In a word, yep! As usual I went straight to the world wide web to make sure I wasn’t crazy…and I’m not. Clutter matters for all kinds of reasons.
Clutter matters because the more cluttered a space is the more places dust and pollen and other pollutants have to collect. It matters because if a space is cluttered it makes routine cleaning way more difficult and therefore easier to avoid. If a space is cluttered it also affects how the air circulates which affects the air we are breathing. In short it just plain matters.
So, now that we know it matters. What do we do about it? So glad you asked 😉 Below I will list 15 fairly simple things you and your family can do to cut down on the clutter in your home and thus improve the air you are breathing inside.
